Lack of IFS skills despite current economic climate
Posted by Vector Resourcing on Tuesday 23 June 2009During the current economic climate, when there is an influx of IT & ERP contractors available on the market, it is with great surprise that I find clients still struggling to find suitable IFS Technical, Functional and Business Analysis skills. In some cases, contractors are spreading their skills between 3-4 different clients at a time. Lead times can be up to 2-3 weeks from IFS, which means contractors are still required on a regular basis.
So, where will further freelance IFS skills come from? Redundancies from companies with IFS staff, who will subsequently enter the contract market; Or IFS permanent staff who are attracted by the high rates that contracting can offer. The problem is that many companies using IFS have agreements where they cannot engage ex-IFS UK staff.
There are some great opportunities for people with the right skills. Vector has many years of experience in successfully placing IFS contractors, and I am keen to hear from anyone with IFS skills who is a contractor, or is thinking about entering the contract market.
Please call me, Simon Rider (IFS Recruitment Specialist), on 01892 771 447 to find out more about the IFS contract market and how I can help you.
