Retail Reacts To The Recession
Posted by Lara Monahan on Monday 2 November 2009It may only be the beginning of November but Christmas is literally just round the corner. It would seem that the retail market is already in the process of ramping up their IT departments to cope with the increase in expected business due to the optimism that is starting to creep through on the back of a miserable year. News reports show the UK is slowly coming out of recession and retailers have already begun their recruitment drive for experienced staff to join their business prior to the Christmas period.
Last month Vector’s Permanent Resource Team experienced an increase in requirement levels for the retail sector. We are working on requirements for clients in the Consumer goods, manufacturing and textile/fashion area. We are seeking candidates ideally with a retail background to fill roles at all levels from It Service Desk Support to IT Manager and many others in between including Systems Administrators and Web Developers.
For our latest vacancies, please keep your eyes peeled for Vector's jobs posted on CWJOBS and Jobserve, plus importantly make sure your CV is up to date on our database by emailing Anna Porter ap@vector-uk.com .
