Getting the best from your IT Contractor CV
A good CV is your primary marketing tool, it’s an opportunity to promote yourself and optimise your chances of getting that all important interview. Most companies receive several CV’s, so you need to make sure that yours stands out above the rest. Here at Vector Resourcing, we format your CV into our house style to enhance your prospects; we do not change your skills, experience or any key information. We use a database which can search on highly specific skills so we know you’re right for the job. We discuss suitability with our client personally, giving them much more insight into a potential contractor. Providing detailed specific knowledge about each individual proves much more successful and matching contractors with our clients first time saves everyone time and money, often generating repeat business.
Please provide your CV as a Word Document.
CV’s can be sent to cvs@vector-uk.com.

TOP TIPS
- • Try to keep your CV to a maximum of 4-5 pages
- • Clients are looking for very specific skills, so spend time ensuring these are well worded and precise
- • Layout is crucial, follow our format below as a guideline and use clear bold headings
- • Avoid fancy colours and stick to clean fonts such as Ariel
- • Never lie on your CV, utilise what you can do rather than what you can’t
- • Finally, remember to spell check the document carefully. You will also need to proof read it for any words you have mistyped; spell checking may not pick up the wrong word in a sentence
