Our client are about to undertake a large project and they will be moving one of their systems engineers on to that project, they need to backfill that person as there will be a skills gap within their infrastructure team. They are looking for a Server engineer to join their team of 6 who look after approximately 200 servers . It is a windows server environment and they have a mix of servers ranging from windows server 2008 to 2016. They also look after the VM ware test environment. You will be responsible for working through tickets that are escalated from the junior members of the support team, this will be roughly 3-4 tickets a day as well as taking emergency tickets from the clients managed service.  

  • 2nd/3rd line support of Windows Server 2008-16

All businesses need to be on boarded to their Open Accounts Finance System and they need a Technical Support/Sys Admin Consultant to assist with a number of functional issues and technical problems. This will include setting up new companies/users, workflows, loading CapEx figures, etc. Also then dealing with support queries, fixing, logging calls but also escalating with Vendor to then work with them to solve and also rebooting databases, Server work.

Our client have recently acquired a company in Europe and  are currently in the midst of a finance transformation programme to move the European sites over to the same universal solution that they use in the UK. They have discovered that a by product of the transformation is that it is breaking the feeds to their power BI solution and this now needs to be resolved. The front end/dashboards should be fine to leave but a new solution for the data feeds needs to be created. The new solution will provide trial balance data that comes in the form of excel spreadsheets and you will need to come up with a solution that stitches that data into new data sets. Once this part has been done then they would like ideas from you on how to centralise Reports for all countries so this will require an element of design but also development, as well coming up with a solution for linking the Power BI progress database to the clients disaster recovery servers.

Our client have just completed the discovery phase on a large programme of work to replace their booking platform and are looking for a business analyst to support the overall delivery and implementation of both the booking and reservation system and an internet booking engine. The system is quite complex as it can be used across various channels such as online, mobile and also on site. The project is working to an agile methodology and will require someone to work autonomously across the business and also with the system supplier to solicit requirements and ensure that the system is fit for purpose. You will be required to make sure that all requirements are covered and that a gap analysis is conducted to see if there are any areas that have been missed. You will need to refine requirements for user stories and amend user questions for the suppliers. Finally you will need to make sure that the requirements model for the system is correct.
