Keeping it current

Friday 25 September 2009

Since taking over my position as Resource Assistant, I have been ringing up candidates on our database to obtain up to date details and CVs, so that when a job comes in the database will be up to date with the best candidates and all the correct information, speeding up the whole recruitment process. It is essential that we have this information in order to ensure we are able to match the right candidate with the right job, so keeping our in-house database current is one of my priorities.

I have noticed that a few people are open to more options such as being flexible with their rate and location, so you may get a phone call from me at some point to discuss this, if we know all your options we can ensure you don’t miss out on a potential opportunity.

Professional networking sites are great for keeping in touch with clients and candidates. I have always used the social networking sites and now I have discovered LinkedIn, linking professional people together. Having only just joined, I don’t have any connections, but I hope to increase the number with new candidates and prospective clients so please feel free to link with me at http://www.linkedin.com/pub/anna-phung-porter/16/77/737 .

I have also discovered recruitment blogs are an excellent way of keeping people posted on the job market, the situation, the pay and often job vacancies, so keep your eye out for our latest blog.
