Vector Shine in SAP Retail

There is no doubt that the SAP contractor market has picked up over the past few weeks. Our SAP team have been working on requirements for both well established SAP clients who know us well and value our service, but also new SAP clients who have either heard about us on the SAP contractor market or who have taken our offer of giving us a trial to see how we compare with their current agencies.

On more than one occasion this year clients have used Vector Resourcing’s SAP team to supply SAP contractors for work which traditionally they may have used consultancies for. We may be out of the recession but people are still looking at where they can make savings and using contractors rather than consultancies for certain pieces of work is a ‘quick win’ financially.

However, I have found myself particularly busy in providing SAP contractors to clients in the retail sector. We have been supplying SAP contractors for so long that we have clients established in all sectors, but it seems that we really stand out in the SAP retail sector.

There is no doubt that the work my colleague Emily Coombs has done over the past few years as a pioneer specialising in providing all types of IT contractors within the retail sector has helped the SAP team provide a unique service. Through my close work with Emily, large retail clients running or implementing SAP who partner with Vector have the ease of working with one agency for all areas of IT, but the benefits of having recruitment consultants who have expertise in niche areas. The days of IT contractors fitting in one dimensional skills ‘boxes’ is over and we at Vector are in the best position to place SAP contractors who have multiple benefits to a retail client.
