Orca Triathlon Results

Ben Keenan, Consultant at Vector’s Wiltshire branch, took part in the Orca triathlon at Dorney Lake, the 2012 Olympic Rowing Venue, in Eton on Saturday 21st August.

Ben was in a respectable 13th position after the 750m open water swim and in around 20th place after the 20km bike ride, before finally finishing 40th out of 130 entrants.

Ben, said: “Bad stomach cramps from a high concentrate energy drink and shin splints made me run very badly. It was a good feeling having some guy shout ‘you’re about 18th’ once I started the run, but it was horrible plodding along with everyone running past me!”

Ben’s next event will be the local Malmesbury Triathlon on Sunday 29th August and consists of a 400m swim, 22k bike ride and 5k run.
