Cloud Architect

We are looking for a Cloud Architect to work on the replatforming of an old Oracle database in to the cloud. The database is currently located on-premises and running on a legacy operating system. Our client is looking to move this to the latest version of Oracle and relocate it to a new Azure environment
Responsibilities
Assess the current estate and ensuring that the new design is fit for purpose
Design the migration of applications to utilise the Oracle database in the new environment
Validate that the proposed design meets the necessary technical requirements and ensuring that it aligns with the organisation's strategic goals
Refactor these applications to ensure they work seamlessly with the new platform
Work collaboratively to ensure the applications and database sit correctly in the new environment
Document the new Azure estate
Essential Skills
Solid experience in designing solutions for on prem to cloud migrations
Strong Azure skills
Understanding the kubernetes family of products
Knowledge of containerisation
