Customer Support Engineer

Do you want to advance your technical understanding of both networking and infrastructure in a supportive environment?

We are looking for a customer support engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for our clients customer base via email phone and other electronic mediums. This will require you to take ownership of user problems and proactively work towards fixing these problems as quickly as possible. Providing a high level of customer service will be crucial in succeeding in this role and will require adhering to existing service management principles and will be monitored against SLA's to ensure customers are getting the high quality level of service our client prides themselves on giving.

The role will be a mixture of networking support of Cisco networking components as well as infrastructure technologies such as VMWare. You will be responsible for fixing what you can or allocating work to on site engineers when fixes can't be completed remotely. You'll also need to liaise with vendors, building up strong relationships where needed in order to make sure that they are completing necessary work to agreed timescales. 

Essential Skills 

  • 1st & 2nd line network support experience. 
  • Experience of installing, configuring and supporting VMWare ESX.
  • Happy to work shift patterns including weekends and bank holidays.
