We are looking for a Deputy Director of IT to be responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of IT systems, transformation initiatives, and a large team

Responsibilities

Technical management, delivery, and support of key IT systems including Salesforce CRM, MuleSoft, D365 finance, ITSM Service Cloud, and End User Technology transformation

Oversight of operational IT support, server, network, and cloud infrastructure for operations

Oversee the accreditation and maintenance of CE+

Implement security measures as per Jisc security team guidelines

Lead IT systems and Business Systems transformation, including Desktop transformation and CDF migration

Manage a team comprising 4-5 direct reports and approx. 50 staff handling operational IT support, integrations, internal cloud solutions, and customer-facing services

Implement and develop EUT transformation aiming for operational improvement and tighter internal IT

Oversee HESA internal IT systems ensuring smooth transition and operation

Handle Analytics, Finance systems, API development, and reporting requirements

Define strategy and oversee implementation of cloud-based solutions, including Salesforce and MuleSoft

Oversee Data Analytics, MuleSoft API development, and the introduction of AI with SF Einstein, Robotic Process Automation, and Omni Channel contact center

Essential Skills

Experience of leading cross functional, multidisciplinary teams

Experience of developing and implementing technology and business strategies

Excellent knowledge of CRM systems ideally Salesforce CRM

Knowledge of ITIL processes for user support including excellent problem solving skills

Knowledge of best practice deployment methodology through development environments to live production
