We are searching for a Head of AI who will be instrumental in advancing our mission to improve the lives of patients by transforming research into mental illness and dementia. This role leads our AI function, focused on developing clinically robust natural language processing models to structure free-text from anonymised psychiatric electronic health records.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of AI scientists and analysts

- Oversee development of accurate, explainable NLP models for EHR structuring

- Shape and deliver the AI team’s strategic roadmap

- Collaborate across research, engineering, and client teams to ensure model impact

- Represent the AI function through publications, presentations, and partnerships

Essential Skills

- PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant AI-focused field

- Strong expertise in machine learning and NLP, including large language models

- Proficient in Python

- Leadership experience within a technical team
