We are searching for a Lead Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of the new data infrastructure. This greenfield project will replace legacy spreadsheet-based systems with a modern Microsoft data stack, including SQL Server, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric. The role involves hands-on leadership, technical ownership, and close collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

- Architect and implement a modern Microsoft-based data platform

- Lead a small team of internal analysts and external partners

- Retire legacy systems and design new data pipelines and reporting models

- Develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models

- Integrate Microsoft Fabric into the data environment

- Ensure data quality, governance, and performance

Essential Skills

- Strong experience in SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Lake, and data warehousing

- Proficient in Power BI, DAX, and semantic model design

- Background in managing technical teams and project delivery

- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and MDX
