Head of IT

The search

Our client is seeking a Head of IT to take full ownership of IT across the organisation and ensure systems, infrastructure and strategy are fit for scale.

This is a standalone IT leadership role. IT delivery is currently outsourced, and a key part of the position will be managing the third-party provider while shaping the future IT operating model, including whether elements should be brought in-house.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee IT operations across healthcare sites

• Manage the outsourced IT provider, ensuring service quality, value and performance

• Act as the senior IT contact for all sites, ensuring systems run smoothly

• Define and deliver IT strategy to support growth and future-proof the business

• Present IT changes, upgrades and improvements to site leadership

Essential skills

• Proven experience as a senior IT leader in a multi-site environment

• Hands-on experience supporting medical imaging equipment (e.g. scanners, X-rays) within healthcare settings

• Comfortable working directly with equipment manufacturers and vendors

• Strong business-facing skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
