Platform Migration Consultant

Our client is looking for a Platform Migration Consultant to assess and guide the migration from Oracle WebLogic 14c to a modern Java platform.
You will review the current environment, identify risks, and define a clear migration approach, working closely with development and stakeholder teams.
This role is focused on upfront assessment and recommendation, with potential to return for full delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review the current WebLogic environment and architecture
• Assess risks, gaps and constraints in the existing setup
• Define and recommend a target modern Java architecture (e.g. Spring, JBoss)
• Provide guidance to support future migration planning

Essential skills

• Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic environments
• Proven track record of migrating from WebLogic to modern Java architectures
• Ability to produce and explain detailed technical documentation
• Comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
