Project Manager

The search

We are seeking a Project Manager to join a public sector organisation undergoing significant transformation. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will support the early discovery and planning phase of a major organisational change programme as part of wider local government reform.

This role will focus on shaping requirements, attending workshops, learning from comparable organisations and supporting delivery through to a current target of April 2027 (subject to change). The environment is evolving, so flexibility and strong stakeholder engagement are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support definition and planning of the transformation

• Engage senior leadership to shape requirements and direction

• Develop and maintain project plans, governance and reporting

• Manage risks and issues in a changing environment

• Support delivery of organisational and people change

Essential skills

• Proven project delivery experience

• Experience within transformation programmes

• Comfortable working in an evolving or developing PM environment

• Public sector or local government experience desirable
