As we reflect on the past year at Vector Resourcing, it's remarkable to consider the journey we've embarked upon and the milestones we've achieved. Amidst a challenging landscape for most businesses this year, our commitment to innovation and excellence has not only guided us through but also marked a year of significant transformation and growth. From embracing new business strategies to fostering a culture of shared ownership and collaboration, our journey has been both challenging and rewarding. In this article, we take a moment to look back at these pivotal moments, celebrating our collective efforts and the resilience that defines us.
We’re employee owned don’t you know!
This year at Vector has been one of the most transformational in our company history, especially with our shift to being 100% employee-owned. This strategic move has not only solidified our foundation but also revolutionised how we operate as a business. By transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), we've empowered our employees, now partners, to have a more significant say in decision-making processes.
This enhanced employee involvement has led to more innovative ideas and collaborative efforts, invigorating our company culture. It's an exciting time for us here at Vector, as this change promises a future where our team's collective input and expertise drive our growth and success. We look forward to seeing what the next year brings. We have been led through this journey by the Directors of the board of trustees Genna Haines and Mark Casse who have always had our employees’ best interests at heart.
Big moves for some exceptional team members
2023 has seen some leadership additions to the senior leadership team at Vector. We were lucky enough to announce the well-earned promotions of Reilly Willis-Gil to Recruitment Director and Max Buck to Senior Recruitment Director earlier this year. Their journey from the early days as Resourcers to their current leadership roles is a story of true commitment and exceptional skill. They've been pivotal in shaping our success this year, and we're confident they'll be at the forefront of Vector's exciting growth phase in 2024.
Hats off to both Reilly and Max for their outstanding contributions – we're looking forward to the energy and vision they'll continue to bring to their roles in the future as they grow their teams and continue to offer an exceptional service to their clients.
Hiring trends from 2023 and into 2024:
The AI and ML Talent Surge
The explosion of AI and ML technologies is creating a voracious demand for specialists. This isn't merely about filling positions; it's about finding visionary talents who can weave AI into the fabric of industries, from healthcare to finance. As recruiters, we're focusing on sourcing individuals who can leverage AI to not just solve problems but to foresee and shape future trends. Our in-house specialist in AI, Matt Kent has been building an unrivalled network in AI and can guide both candidates and clients on what is the best move for them going in to 2024.
ERP is back in a big way!
The rise in ERP roles, particularly in Dynamics 365, is a direct response to businesses seeking more agile, comprehensive, and integrated systems. Dynamics 365 stands out due to its seamless integration with other Microsoft products, enhancing productivity and collaboration. This is vital in an era where remote work and digital workflows are the norm. As businesses prioritise data-driven decision-making, Dynamics 365's advanced analytics and AI capabilities are becoming increasingly appealing. The need for professionals who can harness these features to improve business processes, customer relationships, and operational efficiency explains the growing demand in this sector.
Sustainability: A Green Tech Revolution
The push for sustainability is creating new roles within tech. From renewable energy solutions to sustainable software development, we're helping companies find the right people who can drive this green revolution, combining tech expertise with a passion for environmental stewardship. We have seen a huge surge in sustainability consultant roles who are being requested by our clients to guide them in to adopting more sustainable business practices.
Extending our gratitude
As we close the chapter on a remarkable year, we stand proud of what we have accomplished together. Our transition to an employee-owned company marks a new era of empowerment and shared success. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each member of our Vector team for their dedication, care, and spirit. Looking ahead, we are excited about the opportunities that lie before us, ready to embrace new challenges and continue our journey of growth. Together, we move forward into the new year with optimism, determination, and a shared vision of success. We would like to also thank our clients for partnering with us this year and the exceptionally high calibre of candidates we have placed for making this year a resounding success.
